Job Overview
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations with a deep commitment to hospitality, service excellence, and quality standards. You’ll lead by example on the floor, helping train, motivate, and manage staff to ensure every guest feels seen, cared for, and genuinely welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead with Hospitality: Champion a culture where every guest interaction is personal, warm, and intentional.
- Operational Support: Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures, shift leadership, and team supervision.
- Service Standards: Monitor and uphold the highest standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and guest service.
- Team Leadership: Help recruit, train, and mentor team members; provide real-time coaching and feedback to foster growth and accountability.
- Guest Relations: Proactively resolve guest issues with empathy, urgency, and care — always aiming to turn problems into memorable recovery moments.
- Inventory & Ordering: Assist with inventory management and vendor communication to support cost control and consistent product quality.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are met and maintained according to local and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for hospitality and genuine desire to serve others
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant leadership experience (FOH, BOH, or hybrid)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to quality, cleanliness, and consistent execution
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ServSafe Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
