Business After Hours - Art Rapids!

When Art Rapids! hosts the Elk Rapids Chamber of Commerce’s September 17 “Business after Hours,” it won’t be the usual cocktail-hour. Instead, the members and guests will be critics and jury at an art exhibit – the grand finale of a daylong “Plein Air Paint-Out” in which community artists paint original works in the park. The event will take place in the Art Rapids! “Walk of Art” at Elk Rapids Day Park on South Bay Shore Drive. Business after Hours and the artists’ exhibit start at 5 p. m. The public is invited.

Attendees will vote on a $100 “people’s choice” prize, and will have first dibs as potential buyers of the artists’ work. They can also win prizes of their own for walking the park’s scenic trails and viewing Walk of Art sculptures along the way. The exhibit will be in the Day Park’s new Wentworth Memorial Pavilion, and both events will go forward rain or shine. Business After Hours events are designed to help you make valuable business contacts, entertain clients, reward employees, spend time with co-workers and most of all, enjoy doing it at a fun, professional networking opportunity.
